Hygenic temperature sensor

Thermometer with Clamp Connection for Hygienic Applications

For temperature measurement in hygienic applications, Baumer offers the bimetal thermometer TBI with hygienic clamp process connections. It is especially suitable for the use in medical technology, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage industries. The thermometer is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and can measure temperature ranges from -20 °C up to 300 °C. It conforms to accuracy class 1 according to the EN 13190 standard.

The thermometer dial is constructed as a completely welded version made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304), with diameters of 63 mm, 80 mm or 100 mm. The window is made of polycarbonate. The immersion tube is made of AISI 316L stainless steel and meets the high standards of corrosion resistance required by many applications in the pharmaceutical industry. It has a diameter of 8 mm and is available in installed lengths from 300 mm up to 2000 mm.

Additionally to the clamp process connection ISO 2852 DN 38, other hygienic process connections are available on request. In order to reduce the surface roughness to below Ra < 0.4 µm, the process connections can also be electro-polished.
