Quality certification awarded

Sherborne Sensors has announced that its quality assurance system has been awarded the prestigious SAE AS9100B certification for the design, development, manufacture, repair and calibration of transducers.

Quality and reliability are critical values for the aerospace industry. In an environment where failure of products or services can be fatal, the effective operation of a quality management system plays an essential role in helping to reduce risks and provides a reliable framework for organizations to supply the highest quality products and services. Prime aerospace contractors consider AS9100 a major step in the history of quality management in the aerospace field; AS9100B is the ISO9001 derivative for suppliers to the aerospace industry. AS9100B certification now provides added customer assurance that Sherborne Sensors products and business processes meet or exceed the aerospace industry’s highest standards of quality, reliability and performance. To achieve this accreditation, the Sherborne Sensors Quality Assurance team has successfully completed an extensive audit of in-house practices, conducted over a period of several weeks at our corporate headquarters, as well as active participation in a series of ongoing quality review meetings.
